Cuttin’ that GRASS.
I flipped on the ol’ Jimmy Kimmel last night to catch the Sturgill Simpson performance and lo and behold, Stu dropped a whole new record on us.
Featuring “You Can Have The Crown” and brand new tune co-written by Merle Haggard, Cuttin’ Grass Vol. 2 is everything we could’ve have hoped for, and more.
Sturgill took the stage (at Nashville’s The Station Inn), performing a bluegrass cut from Cuttin’ Grass Vol. 1 titled “All The Pretty Colors.” Released in 2011, “All The Pretty Colors” was originally an old Sunday Valley tune, Sturgill’s band prior to his solo debut, High Top Mountain.
