Cody Jinks Releases Live From Red Rocks Cover Of “Alan Jackson’s “Chasin’ That Neon Rainbow”

Can’t get enough of this record.

In fact, I went out and bought a record player when got a look at that beautiful translucent vinyl Cody put the album on.

And while fan favorites like “Hippies & Cowboys,” ‘Loud & Heavy,” “I’m Not The Devil” and more, are some of the standout tracks from the performance, I just can’t stop listening to his cover of Alan Jackson’s “Chasin’ That Neon Rainbow.”

Written by Alan Jackson and Jim McBride, “Chasin’ That Neon Rainbow” was released in 1990 on Alan’s Here In The Real World record.

Cody has been covering it at the live show for a while now, and one of the first times he played it, he told the crowd this:

“I think I was 9 years old, 10 years old, when that song came out. I always loved that song and my wife and kids and I were having dinner a few weeks ago and the restaurant that we were at, that song came on and I hadn’t heard it in a long time… and I kind of teared up, I said I gotta do that song, I finally made it, I gotta do that song. Means a lot more now than it did back then.”

And now, selling out Red Rocks… if that isn’t making it, then I don’t know what is.
