Texas High School Football Player Blindsides Ref After He Was Ejected From The Game

Wild scene down in Texas last night.

A Texas high school football player is the talk of the sports world right now after he rushed the field and railroaded the referee because he didn’t like the call.

According to ESPN, senior defensive lineman Emmanuel Duron of Edinburg High School was ejected from the game for an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty, and rather than hitting the showers like anyone who has ever been kicked out of a game, Duron stormed the field and attacked the ref.

The ref (who was an older gentleman) hit the ground hard and was down for quite a while before he was able to leave the field under his own strength.

Duron, who was the District 31-6A Defensive Player of the Year last season, was escorted from the stadium by police officers, and it’s safe to assume that he might be spending a little more time with police officers after that.

All I know is Coach Taylor would’ve never let this happen… definitely NOT some clear eyes and full hearts on that Edinburg sideline right now.

Duron was also set to compete for a state wrestling title this upcoming season.
