Get Ready For Gameday With A Crazy Ending To The 2013 Iron Bowl

After eating my body weight in pumpkin pie the last two days, I would be nice (and smart) to get up and actually do something productive today. But let’s be honest, that’s not happening. I’m ready to park it on the couch for some college football and to help you get ready for a full slate of games.

You can check out Number 4 Ohio State at Illinois or Kentucky at Number 6 Florida to start off your day at noon.

But the game you should absolutely tune in to is Auburn vs Alabama, better known as the Iron Bowl at 3:30 pm EST on CBS. These two rivals based in Alabama always go at it and often provide extremely entertaining games.

Let’s throw it back to the 2013 Iron Bowl:

With the score tied at 28 with one second left, Alabama sent out their kicker for a long field goal attempt. When the 57 yarder came up short, Chris Davis fielded it in the back of the end zone.

Davis makes a man miss at the 20-yard line and heads up the left sideline for a 109 yard return to win the game. Are you kidding?!

Nick Saban’s face walking off the field says it all, utter disbelief. That was Alabama’s final game of the season and it dropped them to third in the rankings after that loss putting them in the Sugar Bowl that they would go on to lose to Oklahoma.

As for Auburn, they would win the SEC Championship game over Missouri and then take on Florida State in the BCS Championship.
