Get Ready For Game Day With Matthew McConaughey’s “Let It F*ckin’ Rip” Speech From 2016

A man waving his hand

We’re on to November in the college football season, and it’s time to get ready for some Week 10 action. We have a fun slate of games on this lovely Saturday, so let’s let’s fire up the grill, ice down those cold cans, and buckle up for another great day of football.

West Virginia and Texas kickoff at noon to get the day started along with Michigan and Indiana. A great start for the early games, however, most of the country though will be locked into Georgia and Florida at 2:30 CT for some SEC football.

So in order to get us pumped up for the day, let’s go to old faithful, Matthew McConaughey, for some words of wisdom:

“The whole world is watching…let it fuckin’ rip, man.”

I’m ready to run through a brick wall for this man, and clearly so was Texas. It was right before their first game of the season in 2016, and they went on to upset the 10th ranked Notre Dame Irish.

Unfortunately, Texas was not back for the rest of the season as they went 4-7 after that game to finish 5-7 on the season. Regardless, this went on to become an all-time classic speech from McConaughey… and he has a lot of them.

I know Texas fans are souring on Head Coach, Tom Herman right now, but maybe they can get McConaughey back on the sidelines and just have him talk to the huddle before every single drive. If that can’t turn things around, I don’t know what will.
