Riley Green Performs Another Brand New Breakup Tune – “Because Of Me”

Riley has been CRANKING ’em out lately.

In addition to his acoustic Valley Road EP and the more recent If It Wasn’t For Trucks EP, Riley Green has playing a ton of new stuff during his acoustic Golden Saw Series.

Performing live from his home town, Riley has been joined by songwriters Erik Dylan, Jessi Alexander, Randy Montana, Brent Cobb, Adam Hood, Drake White, and then Channing Wilson and Trent Tomlinson for this last round.

Yesterday, we showed you a powerful new one called “That’s My Dixie,” and now, Riley is back with another brand new one titled “Because Of Me.”

“Try another new one. I like playing songs that nobody’s heard, it doesn’t matter if I mess ’em up. This song I wrote a couple months ago, it’s called ‘Because Of Me.'”

It starts right about the 27-minute mark.

If you remember back to the first episode of The Golden Saw SeriesRiley was joined by Drake White and Erik Dylan for performances of  “I Wish Grandpas Never Died,” Drake White’s “Making Me Look Good Again,” and the incredible “Fishing Alone” by Erik Dylan, and many more. The trio closed the night out with a cover of Tracy Lawrence classic “Time Marches On.”

And then last time, Riley once again shared his home town stage with fellow Alabama native Adam Hood and the very talented Brent Cobb (and Erik again with a surprise performance) for another round of kickass performances including a cover of Merle Haggard’s “My Favorite Memory” and a brand new one called “Wild Woman.”

Also, Riley is encouraging fans to donate to the ACM Lifting Lives® COVID-19 Response Fund, which will go to benefit individuals in the Country Music community who are currently in need of pandemic relief assistance.

“I Let A Damn Good Woman Leave.”
