Well, that was only a matter of time…
Yesterday, news broke that Troy Aikman and Joe Buck were caught on a hot mic mocking the military flyover ahead of the Packers/Bucs game on Sunday.
Essentially calling it a waste of taxpayer dollars, Troy also added that it wouldn’t happen under a “Kamala-Biden ticket.”
Aikman: “That’s a lot of jet fuel just to do a little flyover.”
Buck: “That’s your hard-earned money and your tax dollars at work.”
Aikman: “That stuff ain’t happening with Kamala-Biden ticket. I’ll tell you that right now, partner.”

Needless to say, people were pissed. And while his empty stadium comment might have some weight, these flyovers are almost always a supplemental part of regular pilot training and don’t cost taxpayers any additional money.
However, today he issued a statement, not really an apology of any kind, more of a statement about his support for the military:
“I love a flyover but It was odd to see one over a mostly empty stadium but I am an unwavering patriot that loves this country, has always respected our flag, supported the men and women in the armed forces as well as those in uniform who serve & protect and for anyone to suggest otherwise doesn’t know me, my beliefs or what I have stood for my entire life.“
His partner Joe Buck has yet to comment on the matter.
