Riley Green Debuts Brand New Song “That Was Us,” Featuring Jessi Alexander

Riley and Jessi… what a team.

For tonight’s installment of the The Golden Saw Series, Riley was joined by Randy Montana and Jessi Alexander for another round of knockout acoustic performances.

And among a few of Riley’s hits, Randy’s “I Hope You’re Happy Now,” Jessi’s “Damn Country Music” that was cut by Tim McGraw, and more, Riley and Jessi teamed up to debut a brand new one titled “That Was Us.”

“This is another brand new song that I think we’ve sang twice counting the time we wrote it… this song is called ‘That Was Us.'”

It starts at the 21:20 mark.

If you remember back to the first episode of The Golden Saw SeriesRiley was joined by Drake White and Erik Dylan for performances of  “I Wish Grandpas Never Died,” Drake White’s “Making Me Look Good Again,” and the incredible “Fishing Alone” by Erik Dylan, and many more. The trio closed the night out with a cover of Tracy Lawrence classic “Time Marches On.”

And then last time, Riley once again shared his home town stage with fellow Alabama native Adam Hood and the very talented Brent Cobb (and Erik again with a surprise performance) for another round of kickass performances including a cover of Merle Haggard’s “My Favorite Memory” and a brand new one called “Wild Woman.”

Also, Riley is encouraging fans to donate to the ACM Lifting Lives® COVID-19 Response Fund, which will go to benefit individuals in the Country Music community who are currently in need of pandemic relief assistance.
