Neighbor Calls Police On Hockey Fan Screaming “SHOOT, SHOOT”

Anybody who’s ever watched a hockey game, basketball game, soccer game, whatever… you’ve inevitably screamed “SHOOT” at your television set. As a Blackhawks fan, trust me, it happens often.

But for Tampa Bay Lightning fan Devon Garnett, his fandom got the police on his doorstep.

According to the Tampa Bay Times, police were summoned to Devon’s house for a possible domestic disturbance involving a firearm. And as it turns out, the dude was just watching the Tampa Bay Lighting put a whoopin’ on the Dallas stars.

“So they came to the door and thought there were guns in the house… We’re like, ‘Nope, we’re just screaming for Steven Stamkos.'”

Apparently a neighbor heard the “SHOO, SHOOT, SHOOT” and the natural reaction was “somebody must have a gun over there.”

“(The police) completely understood and just laughed it off. But they thought it was serious because I was screaming ‘Shoot!’ as in ‘Shoot the puck.’”

No harm, no foul… although, it looks like the only guns in this house were shotguns.
