Colter Wall Delivers Impeccable Cover Of Ian Tyson’s “Summer Wages”

How ’bout that Colter Wall?

An absolute smash of a self-produced album with the recently released Western Swing & Waltzes & Other Punchy Songs, and now he’s already back with another phenomenal performance for Western AF.

Featuring some real tasty dobro licks from longtime steel player Patrick Lyons, Colter takes a run at fellow Canadian singer-songwriter Ian Tyson’s “Summer Wages.” The song was originally released on Canadian country/folk duo Ian and Sylvia’s 1967 album So Much For Dreaming, but also appeared on Tyson’s 1987 record Cowboyography.

That incredible Colter Wall voice, those silky smooth dobro licks, and a legendary songwriter like Ian Tyson… that’s the goddamn trifecta.
