I’ll tell ya what… this new Tennessee Jet record is fire.
If you’re not familiar with Tennessee Jet quite yet, you’re probably familiar with some of his work. He’s written a ton of songs for Cody Jinks, especially on this last couple records that Cody released.
Released this past Friday, his new album The Country is exactly that… a rock solid country record.
Featuring a knockout cover of “Pancho & Lefty” with Cody Jinks, Paul Cauthen, Elizabeth Cook, Mickey Raphael (harmonica player with Willie Nelson) and Lady Gaga’s trumpet player Brian Newman, the album also features another cover of The Black Crowes classic, “She Talks To Angels.”
Released in 1990 on their debut album Shake Your Money Maker, “She Talks To Angels” went on to become one of the most popular songs of the ’90s rock era.
And Tennessee Jet just knocked it out of the park.
