Eric Church Debuts New Broken-Hearted Ballad “Crazyland”

And just like that, Eric is three for three.

“Stick That In Your Country Song,” is a certified jam sandwich, “Bad Mother Trucker,” is also a certified jam sandwich, and now, Eric has delivered yet another example of why he’s one of the best things to happen to country music in the past 10 years.

Titled “Crazyland,” the chorus of this one actually came to Eric in a dream.

“Crazyland
Since you said goodbye it’s been crazy man
Lunatics, liars and it also-rans
Waiting on her leaving to come back again
Here in Crazyland, talking to yourself is the only plan,
Giving up on your last give a damn
Here in Crazyland.”

After a back-to-back rockers, “Crazyland” is a great change of pace, and just another dimension of what we can expect to see on this new record. And as much as I love full-throttle, face-melting, ass-kicking Eric Church, he does these tear-in-your-beer ballads as well as anybody in country music.

We still don’t have much information on the new album, but something tells me we might be lookin’ at a double album.

But more on that later…
