“Reunited and it feels so good.”

Tim “The Toolman” Taylor and Al Borland are BACK in action.

According to Fox News, Home Improvement stars Tim Allen and Richard Karn, are reuniting for a new History Channel competition show called “Assembly Required.” The pair shared the screen for nearly a decade while working on Home Improvement together, however, Karn has also made brief appearances on Allen’s Last Man Standing in recent years.

According to a press release, the show will “spotlight the best and brightest builders from across the country, at their home workshops, as they compete to breathe new life into everyday household items in desperate need of fixing.”

According to Tim Allen, the premise was a result of the “throwaway society” we’re living in:

“Let’s face it, we’re living in a throwaway society. We buy, break, replace… rinse and repeat. Whatever happened to repair and rebuild?! There are some people who unfriend, unfollow and dispose of anything that offends, annoys or breaks — so I’ve created a show to remind people of the satisfaction and pride that comes from rebuilding something on their own. And who better to join me than my buddy from the old Tool Time days — Richard Karn! Now we’re talking More Power!

Home Improvement might be one of the all-time great television shows, at least in my lifetime, so I’m pumped to see Tim and Al back together again. Plus, I’m about at that age where I gotta start watching DIY, HGTV, TLC, History Channel, all of those, pretty regularly now. Might as well start with this one.

Assembly Required is set to premiere in 2021.

Get excited.

And speaking of Tool Time, remember this gem featuring another iconic Al?
