This Bud’s for you Cincinnati.
Whether you love Trevor Bauer or hate him, you gotta love his intensity, his passion, and his willingness to put on a show out there. He’s recently voiced his support for Joe Kelly after the Astros brawl, blasted baseball’s unwritten rules after Fernando Tatis Jr.’s grand salami, and has pretty has been vocal on just about every topic in both baseball and the world… however you want to slice it, the guy is just fun to watch.
And, he backs it up on the field too.
After Sonny Gray K’d 45 batters in 5 appearances, setting a Cincinnati Red’s modern-era record, teammate Trevor Bauer responded like only he could.
“Hold my beer.”

And Budweiser rose to the occasion.
Bauer needed 14 Ks across his next two starts to break Sonny’s record. Definitely not a gimme, but with Bauer averaging nearly 10 Ks per game, it was more than attainable.
You had us at "beer" @BauerOutage. 14 Ks in your next two starts: you break the record, we'll make these. https://t.co/SESOvH2pA0 pic.twitter.com/AxXGI08Itx

At one point, Bauer spelled out “BUDS” in the dirt behind the mound.
We'll drink to that, @BauerOutage 🍻#CincinnatiBuds https://t.co/PaV47KtPKR

With his 46th K, @BauerOutage just earned some beers.
