Better start clearing out the locker…

Cincinnati Reds broadcaster Thom Brennaman was apparently caught on a hot mic saying a homophobic slur during today’s broadcast. The Reds are currently in the middle of a double-header on the road against the Kansas City Royals.

We’re not exactly sure what the context of the comment was, but this is what he said:

“One of the f*g capitals of the world…”

Brennaman has been in the Reds booth since 2006.

But… Matt Jones ain’t lying.

Stay tuned…

UPDATE:

Thom has issued an on-air apology… but in the middle of it, stopped to call a home run.

And it landed in the “judgement free zone.”

You can’t make this up…
