When the XFL came back this past winter, I’ll tell you what, I was enjoying the hell out of it.
The season got off to an entertaining start, football was on TV again, guys were shotgunning beers in the locker room… it was a helluva way to kill a Saturday afternoon.
I'm not saying taking an edible and listening to Cody Jinks and watching the XFL is a great Saturday but yeah that's what I'm saying.

But within a few weeks, the XFL shut down due to Coronavirus and then subsequently filed for bankruptcy.
And now, The Rock has entered the chat.
According to Sportico, the XFL has been sold to a group that includes Dwayne The Rock Johnson, his ex-wife Dany Garcia, and Redbird Capital for a price of just $15 million dollars.
The deal is still subject to bankruptcy court approval, which will be heard this Friday, but if all goes well, The Rock might be the new face of the XFL.
I’m here for it.
