Anyways, Josh Turner is bringing country back with his upcoming record Country State of Mind, a tribute record to some of his heroes including Randy Travis, John Anderson, Johnny Cash, Vern Gosdin, Hank Williams and more.
He recently released a cover of Keith Whitley’s “I’m No Stranger To The Rain,” and now, he’s followed it up with another fantastic acoustic solo version.
“Keith Whitley to me was one of the great country singers of our time. When it came time to decide on songs for this project I had to include ‘I’m No Stranger To The Rain.’ This song has always been one of my favorite songs and has such an incredible message of perseverance, endurance and determination and not letting let the challenges in life keep you down. I felt like it was a great way to lead this record off.”
Country State of Mind is set to hit shelves on August 28th.
