I Could Listen To Alan Jackson And George Strait Sing “Amarillo By Morning” Together All Damn Day

I think if I had known what was about to happen that night, I would’ve found a way to get my ass down to Texas for George’s The Cowboy Rides Away: Live From AT&T Stadium show.

I mean, talk about electric.

Back in 2014, George was set to retire from touring, and with this being his last show, he brought A TON of guests with him. Eric Church, Vince Gill, Kenny Chesney, Miranda Lambert… it was absolute perfection. But there was another guest. Another legend from my childhood.

Mr. Alan Jackson.

George and Alan took the stage for a performance of “Amarillo By Morning,” and hell if it wasn’t damn near country music perfection.

As a guy that was born in the late ’80s, ’90s country music is home for me. That’s where I fell in love with country music for the first time, and the two artists who can claim the most responsibility for it? You’re looking at ’em right here.

Like I said… ALL DAMN DAY.
