After only 8 months of marriage, Carly Pearce has officially filed for divorce from Michael Ray
According to PEOPLE, Carly filed the papers this past Friday.
“This was a hard decision. It wasn’t something she wanted to have to do, ” said a source close to Pearce. “This hasn’t been a quarantine realization — it was a last resort.”

Pearce and Ray performed at the Grand Ole Opry together on June 6th where Carly debuted a brand new song dedicated to her late producer and friend Busbee. However, fans started to notice that the couple wasn’t spending as much time together, even pointing out that Carly wasn’t wearing her wedding band in one of her more recent Instagram photos.
Just yesterday, she shared this pic without Michael or her ring, and a caption that read as follows:
“I have the best friends. So thankful for lots of wine & time with the ones I love most.”
The couple also collaborated on a duet called “Finish Your Sentences” for Pearce’s sophomore, self-titled album earlier this year.
