Kane Brown Releases Special Father’s Day Performance Of “For My Daughter” & Yes, It’s Pretty Damn Country

MORE FIDDLE.

Kane Brown is celebrating his first Father’s Day with a brand new acoustic performance of “For My Daughter,” the powerful song he released shortly after the birth of his daughter Kingsley.

And while “For My Daughter” reads like a letter to his new daughter, it’s also an introspective promise to himself. A promise not to make the same mistakes that his father made. A promise that many of us can relate to:

“They say dads are supposed to shape you, in a way I guess mine did
I knew what I wouldn’t do if I ever had a kid
They say history repeats itself
Well, I guess that’s up to me
Yeah, I grew up without a dad
I’m gonna be the best one I can be.”

And with that fiddle in the mix, this performance gives you a little taste of how good Kane could really be if wanted to go the country route. And we’ve seen shades of it before, but every time we get our hopes up, we get a single like “Cool Again.”

Either way, credit where credit is due on this one. We’d like to see more of it Kane…
