Luke Bryan Delivers Powerful Solo Performance Of “Build Me A Daddy”

For many of us, Father’s Day is a time to celebrate and appreciate our dads, however for others, Father’s Day can be a painful reminder of those who are no longer with us.

Luke Bryan’s gut-wrenching new song “Build Me A Daddy” paints the picture of a young boy that lost his soldier father, presumably in the war, and then in the most heartbreaking way imaginable, he asks a toy maker if he can “build him a daddy.” Drawing some comparisons to Tracy Lawrence’s “Paint Me A Birmingham,” even the folks that tend to lean towards traditional country music (myself included) are calling this tune one of the best Luke has ever put out.

He stopped by Jimmy Fallon the other night (virtually of course) and delivered an impeccable solo performance of the powerful tune.

If you’re missing your dad or grandfather, or even just a special father-figure this weekend… this one’s for you.
