Kip Moore Performs Raw, Emotional A Capella Version Of “Payin’ Hard”

Man, I could use a bonfire right about now.

But imagine sitting around it and hearing someone sing something like this?

No guitar, no other instruments, no other voices… just a soothing crackle of the fire, maybe the subtle background vocals of a few crickets, and the gut-wrenching lyrics of a song like “Payin’ Hard.” It’s like you can feel the pain in this one.

For me, and I would venture to guess many of us Kip Moore fans, “Payin’ Hard” is the shining star of the Wild Word album. A stellar album through and through, but this one hits in those deep places. The spots way down deep in the soul that you rarely venture to tangle with. But when you do, it’s painfully beautiful.

“And I’ll live with that, sleep with that, make my peace and I’ll die with that, yeah.”

Kip Moore stopped by the podcast a couple weeks ago to talk all things Wild World and more.
