Today is being called “Black Out Tuesday.”
You can read our statement on it here (there are multiple resources at the end of that post that deserve your attention).
We’ve all seen the clips that show cities burning, chaos, looting, rioting, and violence. It’s important to remember that the majority of people protesting are doing it peacefully and with purpose to influence change that is long overdue.
Today, let’s shed a light on the moments the news won’t show you.
This is a post to highlight those moments of people coming together as one in the name of equality.

I wonder if the news will post this video of protesters protecting this store from looters. 🤔 pic.twitter.com/pbJ6BJQVwW

In DC.
Thousands peacefully kneeling in DC remembering George Floyd chanting, “Stop Killing Black People.”
Why isn’t this video viral? Why is the media only interested in talking about isolated acts of vandalism & theft?

“I feel your pain.”
A powerful video has emerged of a Louisiana Police Officer consoling and hugging a young black crying protestor.
"I feel your pain, we're here with you and we're here to help….We're all here together okay."

“Humanity.”
As riots in Minneapolis continue, a center for low-income housing put out a call asking for food donations.
This is how people responded.
There was so much food it became a distribution center for anyone — at all — who needed it.
Humanity.🌎❤️😇 pic.twitter.com/5tEIC4TBKT
