One Year Ago Today Eric Church Broke The Attendance Record At Nissan Stadium – Relive His Incredible “Mistress Named Music Medley”

John Shearer

“It was a perfect day for the end of May, they say, a record high…”

One year ago today, Eric Church set the attendance record at Nissan Stadium with a packed house topping out at 56, 521. The previous mark of  56,112 was held by Taylor Swift.

This is what he told his loyal fans that day:

“I came here 15 years ago and I had dreams, but I’m not sure I could dream this big. Tonight is a special night for me and you know this if you’ve been to any of our shows on the Double Down Tour… I’m gonna give you everything I’ve got all night long, and tonight is going to be a revival. I promise you.”

The highlight of the Double Down Tour was undoubtedly the uniquely tailored “Mistress Named Music Medley” every night. And on this particular night, this record-setting night, Eric hit fans with a medley of:

“Mistress Named Music,” “Bohemian Rhapsody,” “Night Moves,” “It’s A Great Day To Be Alive,” “Sweet Caroline,” “Piano Man,” “Pour Some Sugar On Me,” “I Love Rock & Roll,” and of course, finishing again with “Mistress Named Music.”

That’s MY Entertainer of the Year right there.
