Chris Stapleton is a certified hit machine.

Before he blew up in 2015, he was writing hits for some of the biggest names in country music including Kenny Chesney, Josh Turner, and even the great George Strait.

George Strait’s 2011 hit single “Love’s Gonna Make It Alright” was actually written by Chris, and as it turns out, he was writing a song specifically to pitch to George

“Sat down to write this song… George was cuttin’ and my friend Al Anderson who used to be in a band called NRBQ, he goes ‘hey man, George cuttin’ and we need to write something for George,’ and that never works out when you do that… but we did and it turned out to be this one.”

Swinging for a home run… and he hit one.

Here’s ol’ George with the recorded studio version.
