Ray Wylie Hubbard Debuts “Outlaw Blood,” Featuring (And Inspired By) Ashley McBryde

Ray Wylie Hubbard is working on the release of a new record, the first major label project of his career, and for each song, he’s enlisted the help of some famous faces.

Titled Co-Starring, it features collaborations with Ringo Starr, The Cadillac Three, Ronnie Dunn, Pam Tillis, and more, but it also features Ashley McBryde who actually inspired the most recent release, “Outlaw Blood.”

Ray detailed how the song came together, after meeting and writing alongside Ashley.

“I’ve been a fan of Ashley McBryde and thorough some other people we got together to write a song… so we wrote this really cool song. But then I started thinking about this image of this badass, cool woman, somebody that just got the outlaw blood… so after I’d written it I said, ‘Ashley McBryde’s got to sing on that.’ So I feel very grateful that she did… she inspired the song and then also sang on it.”

Co-Starring is set for release on July 10th.
