Mayor of Flavortown, Guy Fieri, Raises Over $20 Million For Out-Of-Work Restaurant Employees

I bust this Guy Fieri‘s balls a lot.

I can’t help myself. Between his “Donkey Sauce” and brisket “sushi” he can make lovers of food, cooking and culture (such as myself) shake their head in disbelief from time to time. On one hand, he’s a Nickleback-loving walking punch line, but on the other hand, I find myself watching his shows way too much.

How did I just watch 12 hours of Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives? I have no idea.

You have to give credit where credit is due, however, and this is one of those cases.

He stepped up BIG TIME to help raise over $20 MILLION for restaurant workers during the pandemic. The industry has been completely decimated, and it’s been a tragic thing to watch unfold.

He stopped by TMZ to explain how the money was raised, and how they are helping those who really need it. Respect to the Mayor of Flavortown.
