Randy Travis & Josh Turner Performing “Three Wooden Crosses” Together Is A Thing Of Beauty

I’ve been on a huge Josh Turner kick lately, and it just so happens to be Randy Travis’ birthday today, so we’re taking it all the way back to 2006.

The duo recorded an episode of CMT Crossroads in 2006, performing songs like “Long Black Train,” “Forever And Ever Amen,” “Your Man,” and of course, Randy Travis’ 2002 hit “Three Wooden Crosses”

Josh recently performed a cover of Randy’s “Forever And Ever Amen” on his YouTube channel, and in the video, he called Randy “the reason I moved to Nashville.” That’s some pretty high praise right there.

Josh broke onto the country music scene in 2002, so it’s not hard to imagine how ecstatic he must’ve have been to perform with one of his heroes just a few years later.

Can country music just go back to this… please?

And while were at it, here’s a little “Forever And Ever Amen.”
