G and Mrs. Yearwood are officially coming to the Grand Ole Opry.

Ever since Coronavirus shut down concerts indefinitely, the Opry has continued to put on weekly live streams every Saturday night. Of course, there isn’t an audience, and the artists sit pretty far apart to maintain proper social distance, but either way, these intimate performances have been nothing short of fantastic.

We’ve saw Brad Paisley, Vince Gill and Marty Stuart honor the late great Kenny Rogers; Ashley McBryde, Lauren Alaina and Terri Clark performed together at the beginning of the month; and then most recently, Luke Combs and Craig Morgan trade some songs and they CRUSHED it together.

But this Saturday, May 2nd, Garth and Trisha will once again be taking the Opry stage, and according g himself, they’re going to be playing some “pure, stone country people.”

“I’m sure there’s probably going to be some Jones, there’s going to be some Randy Travis, some Strait, Haggard. And you know The Queen, she’s going to sing some of the greatest stuff ever and it could all be her stuff, too.”

The show broadcasts live on the Circle Network, but will also be available on the Opry’s Facebook and YouTube channel.

Gettin’ physical at the Opry on Saturday night… I like that.
