Tyler Childers’ Cover Of Ray LaMontagne’s “Jolene” Is A Must-Watch

Pour yourself a cup of coffee and pull up a seat, we got a little Tyler Childers to start your morning.

If your a fan of Ray LaMontange, you’ve undoubtedly heard “Jolene” from his 2004 debut album, Trouble. To this day, it’s still one of his biggest hits, and it was even recorded by Zac Brown Band for their debut, major-label studio album, The Foundation, in 2008… you know back when Zac was still making good country music. It’s also was featured in the bank robber flick, The Town, starring Ben Affleck and Jeremy Renner.

If you’re not familiar, I’ll just say that LaMontagne a phenomenal singer/songwriter. The kind of guy that can sit on a stool by himself and bring an entire room to its knees.

Not unlike another singer/songwriter we all know named Tyler.

A few years back, Tyler performed a cover of “Jolene” at the Listening Room in Lexington, Kentucky, and while I’m not in the business of comparisons, (who am I kidding, yes I am) I will say that he absolutely CRUSHED it.

Here’s a live performance from Ray himself as well.
