Riley Green Debuts Reflective “Better Than Me” In Response To Coronavirus Situation

Slick stache.

If there’s been a silver lining in any of this, it’s that men everywhere, including Riley, can finally start rockin’ that slick lady tickler on the upper lip… I’m kidding, it’s all this new music we’re getting.

In hard times, a good songwriter will take stock of the world around them and put it into a song. And even if it’s just a way from them to process their own thoughts and feelings, chances are it’s going resonate with many others as well. And Riley’s brand new “Better Than Me,” is exactly that.

This new one is a response to everything going on in the world right now, and although it’s been devastating for many, it has given many others the opportunity to stop, look around, and realize all the ways you’ve been falling short. Hopefully, when the dust settles and this pandemic ends, we’ll come out of it better people than we were before.

“I’ve been chasing, rat racing, doing anything to win.
My grass looks like Augusta, I got around to painting that fence
Been calling up my mama, doin’ some old friend checking in,
It seem like where I’m going might be better than where I’ve been
With all this goin’ on, found the right in all this wrong and finally see,
the good Lord knows better than me.”

Great stuff.
