Flashback To Koe Wetzel Covering Jason Aldean’s “The Truth” Over 10 Years Ago

Youtube/AGMunny

We’re going back in time on this lovely Sunday afternoon.

The year is 2009. Jersey Shore has officially made its way onto our television screens, and subsequently into our hearts, Kanye West interrupts Taylor Swift at the VMAs, and Jason Aldean released his 3rd studio album titled, Wide Open.

And after back-to-back #1 singles from that record, Jason releases “The Truth,” which arguably goes on to become one of, if not the, best singles he’s ever released.

Shortly thereafter, nearly 10 years ago to the day, we have a fresh-faced kid from East Texas performing that very same song. A kid that would eventually go on to become one of the hottest things in country music by the year 2020.

A kid by the name of Koe Wetzel.

Oh yeah, and Hollister was still cool… God, I feel old.
