Back in 2016, Stephen Colbert shared the stage with the legendary John Prine for a duet of “That’s The Way The World Goes Round.”
The performance never aired and right before it, Stephen himself even said that the only way it would be broadcast was if “something terrible happens and we have to cheer up the world.”
And unfortunately, something terrible has happened.
A global pandemic. One that John Prine is battling at this very moment.
After John was placed on a ventilator over the weekend, Colbert shared the duet, what he called “one of the happiest moments” he had on his show or any show.
