Remembering The MANY Hits From The Great Joe Diffie

Joe Diffie with long hair

We are all still processing the loss of Joe Diffie.

But thankfully, we have his entire catalog of music to remember him by and a way to continue to honor his legacy. When people think of Joe Diffie, it’s pretty clear that “Pickup Man,” “Prop Me Up Beside The Jukebox (If I Die),” and “John Deere Green” are some of the first songs to come to mind.

But there are WAY more than that.

Like many, I have been listening to his music since the news broke. I was quickly reminded that he had so many more hits than the one previously mentioned. First, I played “Bigger Than the Beatles,” and instantly started singing every single word. I felt like a little kid again. We were so lucky to grow up listening to him.

Here are a few other hits we can thank Joe Diffie for…

“Home” (1990)

“If You Want Me To” (1990)

“If the Devil Danced (In Empty Pockets)” (1991)

“New Way (To Light Up an Old Flame)” (1991)

“Is It Cold In Here” (1991)

“Ships That Don’t Come In” (1992)

“Honky Tonk Attitude” (1993)

“Third Rock From the Sun” (1994)

“So Help Me Girl” (1995)

“Bigger Than the Beatles” (1995)

“Texas Size Heartache” (1998)

“A Night to Remember” (1999)

“It’s Always Somethin” (2000)

Bonus:

“LeRoy the Redneck Reindeer” (1995)

Thanks for helping to create the soundtrack we grew up on, Joe.
