Joe Diffie’s Neighborhood Holds Parade In His Honor – Driving Tractors & Cranking Tunes

The entire country music community is heartbroken over the loss of Joe Diffie.

Artists and fans have shared memories and tributes, covers and condolences, but it was Joe’s neighborhood of Nolensville, Tennessee, that celebrated the life and memory of Joe like no other tonight.

Diffie’s friends and neighbors honored him with a parade of trucks, police cruisers, and tractors (in John Deere Green of course), all blasting their favorite Joe Diffie hits.

“Song comes on the radio and you just know all the words by heart,” Mick Hill told News4 from the driver’s seat of a John Deer. “And it’s just part of you, part of life… I was crushed. I was crushed.”

“Shock I think possibly would be the best way to describe that,” said family friend Lisa Garromney. “Joe was he was just a regular guy.”

Unfortunately, because of CDC rules, Joe will not be able to have a traditional funeral service.

A candlelight vigil was held in his honor tonight. RIP Joe.
