It still doesn’t feel real…

Joe Diffie passed away today, a victim of this devastating nightmare known as Coronavirus, and while many of country music’s best have taken to social media share a few words about Joe, some memories, and some encouraging words for country music fans everywhere, Riley Green picked up the guitar for a somber cover of “John Deere Green.”

“Saddened to hear about the passing of Joe Diffie. He was a huge influence on myself and many others. He will always be a legend in country music. Y’all be safe out there.”

I’m sure we’ll see more performances like this as the week rolls on, after all, Joe was a HUGE influence on young artists like Riley, and a beloved member of the country music community.

Here’s to the great Joe Diffie.
