Blake Shelton Tips His Hat To Kenny Rogers In Throwback Cover Of “The Gambler”

Long hair, cowboy hat… this is always going to be my favorite Blake Shelton. He recently brought back his signature mullet the other day, and I’ll tell you what, he’s better off for it.

Anyways, Blake’s hair situation aside, we’re here to talk about Kenny Rogers.

The great Kenny Rogers passed away last week, and while he’s gone now, his legacy will live on forever in the hearts and minds of country music fans everywhere.

Many have honored Kenny with social media posts tribute performances in the past week and Carrie Underwood even shared a throwback photo from when she shared the stage with him back in 2006. But also in 2006, Blake Shelton took the stage at the Cracker Barrel Country Song of the Year Concert to perform his own version of a Kenny Rogers hit.

Performing Kenny’s 1978 hit “The Gambler,” ladies and gentleman, Mr. Blake Shelton.

RIP Kenny.
