A blast from the past.
Off of Chris Isaak’s 1989 album Heart Shaped World, “Wicked Game” was released as the third single from that record in November of 1990. The song was featured in the 199o film Wild At Heart, starring Nicolas Cage, after which it became an international smash hit.
The hard charging drums, the alluring slow build, the rip-roaring guitar solo by the end… I absolutely dig the hell out of this.
And since I have absolutely nothing to do while on quarantine today, I just might dust off the VHS and throw Wild At Heart on this afternoon. I mean, why the hell not?
