Leinenkugel’s Launches New Seltzer Beer With Less Sugar and Calories Than White Claw

It’s that time of year.

You can smell it. Hear it. Almost feel the buzz.

The seltzer buzz. After hibernating all winter, the hard seltzer binge drinking is about to ramp up with the warming weather. There’s a new drink to add to the mix from Leinenkugel’s

Spritzen.

“Spritzen” comes from the German word for “splash.” This new seltzer isn’t really a beer, or a seltzer, it’s a little bit of both. It is a beer to start, and then they added a splash of flavored seltzer, giving it a fruity flavor synonymous with the famous hard seltzers.

Spritzen contains 93 calories per 12-ounce serving (White Claw has 100 calories), as well as 2.2 grams of carbohydrates and zero sugars (White Claw has 2g of sugar). There’s no artificial ingredients and a 4.2% alcohol-by-volume. 4.2% is what you usually see with your standard “light” lagers like Bud Light, Miller Lite, Coors Light, etc.

The flavors are: Grapefruit, Raspberry Lemon and Pineapple Strawberry.

These will be available nationwide March 11th. Could easily put down a couple 18 of these no problem. Holy hell I’m ready for spring…
