Ever since Luke first delivered that impromptu hotel room performance of Tracy Chapman’s “Fast Car,” we’ve been begging him to record it.
We’re talking in the studio, entire song, the whole shebang.
We’ve always said that “Fast Car” is the ultimate Sunday song. Maybe you’re at home with a little hangover from last night’s shenanigans, you order some take out, you put on “Fast Car” and all your worries slowly start melting away.
And even if that’s not how you get down with that song, you still love it. Everybody loves it. Luke Combs love it, and he just delivered another quick performance of it on his Tik Tok Channel.
Please Luke, for the love of God, give the fans what they want, give them the full cover. I’m going to take this new performance as a sign that it’s in the works.
