An absolutely heartbreaking situation in Nashville right now.
Two tornados touched down in the Nashville area overnight, including one that tore through the city, heavily affecting the Downtown, Germantown, and East Nashville neighborhoods.
Around 40 buildings have suffered structural damage including the popular venue Basement East, and preliminary reports have confirmed that at least 9 people have died as a result of the storms across Central Tennessee, 2 of which were confirmed in East Nashville. More than 74,000 homes and businesses are without power right now and hundreds of people are currently homeless.
