What a night for Tyler Childers, or better yet, what a month.

On February 6th and 7th, Tyler performed the first two shows on his 4-show, sold out residency at the iconic Ryman Auditorium in downtown Nashville. The great Robert Earl Keen and the great Marty Stuart were the respective openers.

Last night, Tyler’s Ryman run continued on, but not without a surprise appearance from fellow Lawrence County native Ricky Skaggs. And as it turns out, all the way back in 1996, a 5-year-old, red-headed kid named Tyler went to his first concert to watch an artist by the name of… you guessed it, Ricky Skaggs.

My first concert was Ricky Skaggs at Poage Landing when I was 5 years old. I told him I’d just got a guitar, and he told me to stick with it. Last night we played a buncha songs together. Lawrence Co was well represented last night. Photo credit: to Emma Delevante and my dad back in ‘96″

Talk about a full circle moment.
