Willie Nelson Fights Back The Tears During Alison Krauss & Jamey Johnson’s Performance of “Seven Spanish Angels”

Legends Ray Charles and Willie Nelson released “Seven Spanish Angels” all the way back in 1984 – the song appeared on Charles’ album, Friendship.

During the 2015 Gershwin Prize Tribute Concert in Washington, D.C. (Nelson received the Library of Congress Gershwin Prize for Popular Song), Alison Krauss and Jamey Johnson took the stage to perform “Seven Spanish Angels” in front of Willie, leaving him teary-eyed during the moving duet.

Enjoy the throwback.

* Hey Jamey Johnson, we reaaaaallllly want a new album.
