Uncovering Miranda Lambert’s Hidden Gems From Way Back In 2001

We’re digging deep down into the Miranda Lambert vault today.

If I asked you the name of Miranda Lambert’s first record, and you said Kerosene, you would be wrong. It might be her first with a major label, but she actually released an independent, self-titled album all the way back in 2001.

A couple songs charted on the Texas Country charts and it eventually helped her punch her ticket to Nashville Star, but listening to Miranda at just 18 years old, it really isn’t all that much different than the stuff she’s putting out today.

It might be a little more polished these days, but a quick listen through some of these gems from nearly 20 years ago, and it’s not hard to see why she went on to become one of the biggest stars country music has ever seen.
