Tough times in the state of Ohio right now…
While those of us in Illinois are lining up to get that recreational marijuana that was just legalized a week ago, the good people of Ohio are begging the Ohio Medical Board for a new condition to be added to list for medical marijuana status.
That condition? Being a Browns or a Bengals fan.
According to WBNS, the medical board has received 28 petitions for qualifying conditions for medical marijuana treatment, including this debilitating condition called Browns/Bengals fandom. Other conditions petitioned include anxiety, depression and autism. The board will meet on February 12 to discuss the petitions and decide which petitions will be considered. A final vote is expected this summer.
How could you not pass this?
Do you have any idea how much a shit team can suck the life out of you? You want to talk about depression, what about the depression of watching your favorite team shit the bed, year after year. The Browns were supposed to be good this year. Baker, OBJ, Jarvis, Chubb… they were supposed to be running that offense like a Swiss watch and 6-10 and is all you get? A combined 8-24 when you throw in the miserable Bengals.
As a Chicago sports fan, suffering from my own seasonal sports depression, I say do the right thing Ohio. Do the right thing.
