As we previously mentioned, the primary suspect in the double murder of Clayton Beathard and Paul Trapeni III already had a long rap sheet of criminal offenses including the stabbing of another person back in 2015. According to the Tennessean, Michael Mosley was out on a $5,000 bond for a felony assault charge for attacking a 37-year-old woman at a Walmart last year. His record also includes two counts of armed robbery in 2018. Two counts of felony aggravated assault for stabbing a man and cutting a woman in 2017. Assault in 2016 from throwing urine on a county jail employee and other drug and assault related offenses in 2014. An arrest warrant has been issued charging him with two counts of criminal homicide and one count of attempted criminal homicide.
According to police spokesperson Don Aaron, the fight broke out “over an unwanted advancement made by a man toward a woman in the bar.” The woman was a friend of the victims’ and it appears as though they were stabbed coming to her defense.
Obviously, it makes your blood boil that this guy was still on the street, but hopefully he will be brought to justice soon. Our continued prayers are with the Beathard and Trapeni families.
UPDATE: THEY GOT HIM.
Nashville police just released the following statement:
