Drake White Details His Battle To Walk & Play Guitar Again After Brain Condition Left Him Paralyzed

Drake White is unquestionably one of the most talented people in all of country music. It’s not up for debate. And thankfully, it looks like he’s going to be back on the road some day.

If you remember back to this past August, Drake collapsed on stage and was rushed to the hospital with an intense headache and paralysis in his left side. It was revealed that Drake had a brain condition (AVM) where the blood vessels in his brain became tangled and were cutting off the blood supply. When the AVM hemorrhaged, it left Drake and his fans wondering if he was even going to live, let alone ever perform again.

However, yesterday The Doctors caught up with Drake to detail his recovery and thankfully, through some intense physical therapy, Drake is walking and playing guitar again. It looks like he might be back on the road sooner, rather than later.

God knows country music needs him.

Today I feel like I’m about a 6 out of 10. I’m walking, I’m on a cane, I’ve got movement in this left side, I’m starting to play guitar again. I think about me back on stage. Those thoughts are what is healing me… It kind of is a healing agent of its own. I just continued to push through and make sure I was writing as I was going through this process. It made me feel good and made me feel like my purpose was still there.”

The Doctors also chatted with Drake’s doctor to get some insight into his procedures and his recovery.
