Big happy birthday to our favorite Coors Light drinking centenarian.
Last year, Andrew Slavonic went viral as the 101-year-old veteran that called Coors Light the secret to his long life. One ice cold Coors Light every single day, at 4:00pm sharp.
“Around 4:00 p.m., he tells me that it is 4:00 p.m., and it is time for our beer. He gets his Coors Light from the garage beer fridge and enjoys a nice cold one. The bluer the mountains are on the can, the better.”
Today, Andrew is turning 102 and his routine of a daily Coors Light hasn’t changed.
“All I can say is that it has been one helluva of a year for dad. He has never had this much attention in his life. I really think he loves it,” Slavonic’s son told Fox News. “He has met various people around town that have come up to him and wanted to shake his hand and ask him if it really the one Coors Light that keeps him going. He says it is. We go to the local VFW Post 764 every Friday for dinner and everyone there just loves seeing him and talking to him.”
This past year, Coors gave Andrew his own beer fridge, full of cold Coors Light, plus a trip to the brewery in Denver.
This man is my hero. Everybody out here talking about paleo this, vegan that, and Andrew here is sipping on a cold Coors Light every single day. Not a care in the world, 102 years young.
The next time some health nut tries to sell you a $16 dollar glass of kelp juice, you know what to tell them.
