George Strait Raises $1.5 Million For Hurricane Relief In The Bahamas

The King giving back to the people, you gotta love it.

Last week, the great George Strait held a benefit concert in partnership with Discovery Land Company Foundation to raise money for hurricane relief in the Bahamas. After Hurricane Dorian wreaked havoc on the region this past September, thousand and thousand of locals have been left without anything.

The benefit was held in Austin, Texas, and managed to raise $1.5 million dollars for the people of the Bahamas. They’re also selling a t-shirt, which George wore on stage that night, that will benefit the Abaco Relief Fund, which aims to “assist with the immediate disaster relief needs of Bahamian citizens, including water, shelter, medical needs, and the recovery of the community.”

Stay classy Mr. Strait, stay classy.
