Brett Eldredge Brings Brother (And Everybody Else) To Tears With “Best Man Speech” Song

You’ll want to go ahead and grab the Kleenex right about now.

As a guy that is getting married in February, and a guy that is also the older of two brothers, this video is stirring up more emotions than I’m looking for on a Saturday morning. I’ve barely even had my coffee yet.

But nevertheless, here we are.

Brett’s older brother Brice got married recently and of course, as the best man, you knew Brett was going to deliver a killer best man speech. And, rather than writing out some heartfelt words and reading them, or just winging it like most guys do, Brett did what he does best and put his feelings into a song.

An extremely heartfelt, deeply personal, song for his big brother on his big day.

“I woke up very emotional in the middle of the night a few months ago with the realization that my big brother was about to get married and that we were no longer kids anymore…I had been putting off writing my best man speech until it came to me at 3am and I wrote the whole thing in bed that night…my brother is a great man and is my first call when life comes at me sideways…he and his incredibly smart and beautiful wife Lori are gonna have an awesome life together and I couldn’t be more happy for them…so here’s my best man speech, i didn’t write it for an album or any project, I wrote it for my brother, and though it’s almost impossible to sing through the tears, hopefully you will at least hear my heart for my brother, my best friend…here’s my ‘Best Man Speech.'”

Brice was clearly overcome with emotion, but I’d find it hard to believe that there was anybody with a dry eye in the room.

Bravo Brett.
